Simply put, hair length and thickness varies for each person as well as their chosen hairstyle/updo for the day. Because of this, the time it takes to create each style also varies.
This is why we don’t create specific time slots however we can pick the order in which you would like everyone to go. While we budget for 1 hour per person, we ask that whoever is next to sit and have their hair done is ready at the 30min mark so that we can keep your morning flowing.
Now, we know that makeup is pretty consistent with the service taking roughly the same amount of time for each bridesmaid, and usually a little bit longer for the bride herself. So while we’re styling hair we make sure to communicate with the makeup artist as we go along. Sometimes positions get swapped if it works out, to keep things flowing.
All-in-all, after styling hair for hundreds of weddings over the years, we find this method works best as opposed to having scheduled time slots for each person.
